Founding CTO
Own the technical direction of Aevus, the governed action layer that lets private-markets firms put AI agents to work on fund operations.
Responsibilities
- The architecture: connectors, the canonical fund data model, the policy engine, durable workflows and the audit ledger.
- Real connections into fund administrators, banks and data rooms: APIs where they exist, browser automation where they don’t.
- Security and production: SOC 1 and SOC 2 readiness, single sign-on, vaulted credentials, deployments and on-call.
- Correctness wherever money is involved: deterministic engines, tests against known answers, and no model doing arithmetic.
- Hiring and leading the engineering team as Aevus grows.
What you’ll bring
- You have built and run production systems where mistakes are expensive, such as payments, fintech or trading.
- Strong TypeScript and Postgres, and comfort working anywhere from the database to browser automation.
- Experience integrating with messy third-party systems that were never designed to be automated.
- Practical experience building with LLMs and agents, and a clear view of where they should not be trusted.
- You want to build a company, not only a codebase.
Nice to have
- Experience in private markets, fund administration or fund accounting.
- Experience with MCP or other agent tool interfaces.
- You have taken a company through a SOC 2 audit.
